It’s hard to turn the page of any paper or switch the channel over without seeing news of the upcoming Olympics.
I dont know about you, but I was avidly watching the flame landing on Friday night, and over the last couple of days the subsequent relay of the Torch as it heads around the UK.
Having not been caught up in the nostalgia of the games, until the weekend, I’m suddenly getting a little more excited! Its the first time in many peoples lifetimes they’ll get a chance to see such an auspicious occasion. It made me proud to be British. I hope it will turn the world eyes onto the UK.
The flames set to pass 95% of the UK population, with some 8,000 torch bearers, making the mammoth trip around the UK.
It reaches here in the North East on 17th June, and I for one will be excited to see it !
